Mellissa Hinton is the Head of Technical Services at the B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library at the Post Campus of Long Island University (LIU) in Brookville, New York. She has many years of experience in cataloging and acquisitions. She holds an MSIS and MA in English from LIU, and a doctorate in English from St. John’s University, Queens, New York. In her free time, she likes to channel nineteenth-century American feminist Margaret Fuller and enjoys walking along Long Island’s many beautiful beaches.
