You May Own It…But Can They Find It? A Panel Discussion

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Have you purchased eBook or eJournal collections where the metadata was not provided or was incomplete? Can users find all of your collections? If metadata is unavailable, researchers can’t find your materials, resulting in lower usage. But there is a new way to solve this problem.

Please join us for this interactive panel discussion where attendees will learn how four libraries cooperatively managed new Japanese, Spanish and open access WorldCat knowledge base collections to share previously unavailable records with the library community.

This enabled libraries to easily use these collections to:
• Maintain all of the titles at the collection level
• Automatically maintain WorldCat holdings
• Output WorldCat MARC records to improve discoverability

Panel participants include:
• Yukari Sugiyama, Japanese Technical Services Librarian, Yale University
• Jeff Siemon, Assoc. Professor, Electronic Resources Librarian, Anderson University
• Paul Moeller, Director, Metadata Services Department, University of Colorado Boulder
• Andrew Senior, Assistant Librarian, Coordinator, Electronic Resources and Serials, McGill University

Please join us to learn more.
