Are commercial database vendors including open access resources in their indexes, as listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), to increase title counts? This session will explore the presence of DOAJ resources in major commercial databases commonly licensed by academic libraries as well as commercial publisher platforms and how that content increases overall title counts. Further inquiry will focus on real-world accessibility of open access materials in each platform, if vendors indicate open access resources as such, the amount of coverage available, and the benefits to having open access content discoverable in multiple locations.
